Printers are essential office equipment in the workplace, and we often use them in our work. Many people also equip them at home. However, in daily use, we may encounter some headache inducing problems to varying degrees, even with more stable laser printers, some issues are inevitable.
As an OA editor, whenever there is a problem with the company's printer, my colleagues will directly come to me to help solve it. Over time, I gained a general understanding of the causes of various problems. In addition to reasons such as aging of the paper roller and poor stability of the company's network, it is mostly due to the use of compatible consumables. The author has also sorted out the common problems encountered.
Problem 1: Cardboard
Frequency: Occasional
Pain value ★★★★★
Description: Cardboard is the most common problem when using a printer, and there are two main reasons for it: one is the use of compatible consumables, which are generally priced lower, so companies choose compatible consumables to save budget; Another issue is that the printer is aging and consumables need to be replaced.
Problem 2: Poor printing quality
Frequency: Occasional
Pain value ★★★★☆☆
Description: Printing with unclear handwriting, light colors, and broken lines are also common issues. There are multiple reasons: one may be that consumables need to be replaced, such as insufficient toner; The second is damage to the photosensitive drum (or other hardware); Another possibility is poor paper quality or using the wrong paper; The last possibility is the use of low-quality compatible consumables.
Problem 3: There is an odor when printing
Frequency: Frequent
Pain value ★★★☆☆☆
Description: Due to technical reasons, laser printers generate ozone during operation, and a small amount of ozone has a sterilizing effect. However, some low-quality ink powders may use substandard and environmentally unfriendly raw materials, which not only generate ozone but also release more harmful substances, which is not conducive to health.
