The printing industry, as a high-energy consumption and high carbon emission industry for paper and petroleum products (plastics), faces a major challenge in meeting the requirements of "carbon peak" and "carbon neutrality" for all enterprises in the industry.

Due to limitations in technology and cost, the main raw materials in the printing consumables industry are petroleum products, and the entire cycle from production and manufacturing to disposal is a major carbon emitter. Taking the laser printing consumable toner cartridge as an example, its working principle is to combine laser scanning and electronic development technology to transfer and attach toner to the printing medium. In the transfer development fixing process, toner that will not be attached to the printing medium will be generated, generally referred to as "waste powder".
